West Haven High School’s student body gathered in the Ken Strong Stadium Friday for the annual pep rally, ahead of tonight’s football game against Norwich Free Academy.

The pep rally featured the introduction of the football team and  performances by the cheerleaders, the dance team, the Major Step team, along with the announcement of the Kings’ and Queens’ Court.

“The best thing that I watched today was the boys football team and the cheer team’s dance,” Kyle Rigsbee said. “I thought it was hilarious.”

Some significant highlights of Friday’s rally was the feedback from the teachers and students.

“I love the unity within every pep rally,” said teacher Mr. Fallon. “It’s quite enjoyable to watch. Today’s event allowed everyone to bond and unite as one.”

The pep rally capped off a full week of school spirit, which involved class-color wars, twin day, decades day, and Westie Friday.
