The aerospace engineering students at our school have been having fun testing out the wooden gliders they constructed in class this year.
They took two pieces of balsa wood and used Aery software to measure out everything from the wings, the fuselage and every control surface on the aircraft.
The goal was to see what aircraft can glide for the longest distance. Other fun activities in the aerospace engineering class include flying with a flight simulator program.
