The Top 20 students of the class of 2025 were honored at the annual Top 20 breakfast on Wednesday. Principal Rob Bohan, Superintendent Neil Cavallaro, Assistant Superintendent Judy Drenzek, and Secretary/Treasurer Rob Guthrie were in attendance. The Top 20 also invited two of their favorite teachers, English teacher Ms. Alajjan and math teacher Mr. Schevling.
This week’s West Haven Public Schools Athlete of the Week is Evan Jones. The boys varsity baseball team went 3 and 0 last week, with Evan going 7-for-12 at the plate. He drove in 7 RBIs and scored 2 runs. Evan is committed to Wheaton College, where he will continue both his academic and athletic career.
The annual Fine Arts Festival will be on May 29th in the lobby from 5 pm to 7 pm. We will be showing hundreds of pieces of student artwork, and there will be band, choir and theatre performances. Culinary will be serving light snacks, and we will have raffle prizes. Ceramic pieces and West Whims will be on sale.
