Congratulations to Abby Wynes for breaking the school softball record for number of homeruns hit in a season. Abby took that title when she hit her seventh homerun of the season in a game against Woodstock.

Sixty-five student athletes were honored last week at the annual Scholar Athlete Recognition Ceremony. To earn this recognition, students must participate in a varsity-level sport and maintain a GPA of 3.4 or higher.

A special congratulations goes out to our two special award recipients: Christopher Mullins received the Bob Greenwood Service Above Self Award; and Sophie Mazuroski received the Vin DiLauro Passion Award.

AP U.S. Government and Politics students heard guest speaker Michael Scanlon last week. He is a West Haven  resident who worked his entire career as a foreign service officer for the U.S. State Department.
