West Haven High School has received confirmation to co-op with other schools for its hockey program.

The confirmation from the CIAC allows players from Oxford, Seymour and Shelton to play for the Blue Devils. The hockey team is seven-time CIAC hockey champions spanning from 1949 to 1994, but they have gone several decades without a new championship banner. It is unclear how many players this co-op will bring into West Haven.

The coaches of the Blue Devils hockey team are expecting to have around 10 returning players, with not a single one being a senior. The 2022-2023 hockey schedule has not been released yet for the 20-game regular season that runs from December through March.
