West Haven High School has a new addition to its building: the Pamela Bellmore Gardner Memorial Lecture Hall.
Mrs. Gardner was principal of the school from 2009 until she passed away in 2018. It had been her dream to have a lecture hall at the school.
“My mom has been talking about this lecture hall for as long as I can remember and she was very passionate about this lecture hall being built,” said Mackenzie Gardner, daughter of Mrs. Gardner.
The hall opened its doors to students and staff in February.
Dana Paredes, principal of West Haven High School said, “I think its going to be a great resource for not just the school community but the whole community.”
Mackenzie Gardner is looking forward to seeing how the West Haven community takes advantage of the new building.
“I just think that there’s a lot of different uses and opportunities for this building and I’m excited to see how the community embraces it,” she said.
