We begin today’s episode with a moment of silence for former Westie football coach and teacher Ed McCarthy, who died on Sunday. Coach McCarthy led West Haven to four state football championships over his career and impacted the lives of countless student athletes. His absence will be felt throughout the community. We are sending our deepest condolences to Coach McCarthy’s family and friends.
Next we have a huge congratulations to our boys basketball team for beating New Britain 63 to 62 last week to advance to the CIAC Semifinals. The team takes on Stamford tonight at the University of Hartford at 7:15. In today’s episode we’ll have an important message for you from the team. Remember, there’s a fan bus to the game. Sign up for it on PowerSchool.
Last Thursday our STEM Engineering Students earned first place in the “mission course” at the Connecticut SeaPerch Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle competition.
