Our baseball and softball teams dedicated time before their recent games to recognize the club Morgan’s Message, a school club that works to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health in student athletes.
The organization was created in 2019 after a young woman named Morgan Rodgers passed due to her mental health struggles. She was a student athlete and played lacrosse at Duke University and her death affected many people, so her family and friends created Morgan’s Message to try and normalize mental health and struggles.
The softball team took time to commemorate Morgan’s Message before their game against Jonathan Law on May 7. And the baseball team recognized the organization before its game against North Haven on Monday.
