The school will be hosting a college fair TONIGHT from 6:30 to 8:30. All students, parents and staff are welcome.
There will be a meeting for any new or returning baseball players on Thursday in room H215. Please see Coach Carden with any questions.
The varsity boys soccer team has a home game today at 7:30 pm against Shelton.
There will be a meeting for ANYONE interested in trying out for the girls basketball team on Tuesday, October 22nd after school in H215. See Coach Mo in H215 with any questions.The varsity volleyball team has an away match today at 5:15PM against Jonathan Law.The next meeting for the Alpha club will be October 15th in the Choral Room, which is H112. The club is open for all students who wish to ask meaningful questions about life, faith, and purpose, and discuss them through a Christian worldview. See Mr. Thomas for more information.
The Debate Team meets Fridays after school in Room C-206. All new and returning team members are welcome. The Debate Team is coached by members of the Yale University Debate Team and offers an opportunity to improve your speaking skills, meet new people, and have fun competing against students from nearby high schools at monthly tournaments on the Yale campus.
Picture retakes will be on November 8th. Students: if you didn’t have your photos taken the week of September 30th with your English class, you MUST have your photo taken. This photo is used for your new IDs.
Attention Seniors: Do you speak another language? If so, you should sign up for the Seal of Biliteracy test, which will be on October 17th. This seal is an official document that shows your language skills. It will help you on the job search and in college. Stop by D306 or D312 for more information.
Halloween on the Green is coming up and volunteers are needed. If you want to help out, stop by the Career Center.
Spirit week will be next week. We don’t have school on Monday. Tuesday will be Favorite Sports Team Day, where we wear our shirts and jerseys. Wednesday you can partner up for Dynamic Duos. Thursday will be Throwback Thursday and Friday will be a pink out for Breast Cancer Awareness. Friday will also be a pep rally. Our school will operate on this special schedule that day.
And the baseball team is holding a “winner take all” raffle this October! The prize is over $1300 in restaurant gift cards! Tickets are $20 each. The deadline is October 31st.
The Peer Advocates are selling Blue Devil Decals. It’s $10 for a 22 inch decal, and $5 for a 10 inch decal.
