West Haven High School’s Life Skills students have their very own coffee shop, right here in the F-wing.
Running the coffee shop helps the students become more confident in handling money, interacting with customers and working as a team.
The students sell coffee for $1 every day, along with other drinks and lots of baked goods.
The students all work together taking turns making coffee and making deliveries all over the school.
The money they earn is used to fund field trips to places like a pumpkin patch and the Durham fair.
This is the third year the coffee shop has been in business and Mrs. Anastacio said she hopes it’s running for years to come.
