Five students recently represented our district at the CMEA Southern Region Festival hosted by Naugatuck High School. This prestigious honor was earned by Giovanni Avilez (Flute-band), James Banegas-Molina (Percussion-Band), Mars Cruz-Miranda (Tuba-Orchestra), Brandon Kifer (Percussion-Band) and Nadia Martinez (Timpani-Orchestra). These five students will now be auditioning for the All State Festival the first weekend in February.

The Debate Team has a very important meeting this Friday to prepare for the tournament at Yale next Friday. All team members are expected to attend practice this Friday.
Attention seniors: Please stop by the main office to order your cap and gown. The price is 30 dollars until January 31st, after that the price goes up. Also, if you haven’t filled in your diploma verification on PowerSchool, please do that ASAP.

The SAT School Day test is scheduled for March 5. This test will be taken by all juniors. Ramadan falls February 28, 2025 through March 29, 2025 this year. The school understands that fasting during Ramadan may cause issues with concentration and negatively affect some students who are trying to do well. The Make-Up Day for the SAT School Day test will be on April 9. If you would like to test on the Make-Up Day instead of on March 5, 2025, due to your observance of Ramadan, please have your parent fill out the form in PowerSchool. The deadline to fill out this form is February 21st.
The Class of 2027 is taking orders for “Self-Love Packages” for $5. The packages include everything you will love like face masks, affirmation stickers, bracelets, candy and more.
