You may walk by H112 sometimes and hear the harmonizing of many beautiful voices. That is one of our chorus classes: Chorus, Camerata, or Bel Canto. Chorus is the entry-level choir, Camerata is the all-treble choir, and Bel Canto is the most advanced choir. In fact, the 2025 Bel Canto group performed at Carnegie Hall last year, where they sang challenging songs with choirs from all over the nation. In previous years, Dr. Felicia Barber, the director of Yale’s Camerata, taught masterclasses to West Haven High School choral students, offering a college-level approach at learning how to read and perform music. As a result of the course’s content, next year, Bel Canto will be offered as an Early College Experience class. So try chorus, you will learn something new!
