WHHS Students Take Prizes in Speech Contest
On Wednesday April 3, students from WHHS and Notre Dame High School took part in the “4 Way Speech Contest” sponsored by the WH Rotary Club at a luncheon at App’s Restaurant. The top four finishers are pictured here from left to right: Winnie Jiang, Jennifer Hernandez, Ethan Wicko (Notre Dame HS) and Collin Beirne (Notre Dame HS). As the overall winner, Winnie will compete in the Rotary Club state semifinal speech competition at the Trumbull Library on Saturday April 27. Also pictured in the photo gallery below are Winnie and Jennifer holding their checks for finishing in 1st place and 3rd place, respectively.
