Club Meetings
The Debate Team meets every Friday in C206.
Dungeons and Dragons will be meeting today in F215.
The Class of 2025 Junior Class Council meets weekly on Fridays in the Library Conference Room immediately after school with Mrs. W. and Mr. Dickson.
The next meeting for the METAPHYSICAL MONDAYS club will be held after school on Monday in room D314 with Madame Reichert.
The Red Cross Club meets today after school from 1:50 to 2:40 in B209. This club is for everyone who is interested in advocating and volunteering during a natural crisis and for public health, among other causes.
The Student Government/Interact Club meets today in C206. See Mr. Consorte with any questions.
In-School Activities
The West Haven Rotary Club is sponsoring a Career Exploration Event in school on April 9th. A panel of people from various occupations will share their experiences. The event will be in the auditorium at 9:50 am. Stop by the Career Center for more information.
​Gateway Application Day will be today at 9:30 am in the Career Center. You can meet with an admissions representative from Gateway and complete your college application.
HOSA is holding a community-wide book drive in collaboration with other clubs such as SAVE, Student Government, Italian and The Rostrum! You can drop your books off in any club advisor’s room or in room F119. Help us support the legacy of reading!
The Mr. Westie pageant will take place during last block on April 12th. Any interested participants should see Mrs. McCauley in F219 ASAP. Tickets will be on sale next week.
Attention seniors: The Senior Awards Application is now live in your PowerSchool account. Seniors should fill out this application in order to be considered for the awards that will be distributed on Senior Awards Night. These are monetary awards that are given to students by donors. Senior Awards recognize a variety of accomplishments including academics, athletics, participation in school activities, community service, work ethic and more. All seniors are encouraged to apply.
Summer Job Applications are available in the lobby Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. until 7:30 a.m.
There will be a Trade School Job Fair on April 24 in the lobby from 11 am to 1 pm.
Big Events
The Junior Prom will be held at Cielo on Friday, April 26th from 6 to 10 pm. Tickets will be on sale from April 1st to April 12th before school and during homeroom in the library. Tickets are $40 per person, cash only, and students must show their school ID and signed prom contract at the time of purchase. This event is limited to 120 students, so don’t wait to purchase your ticket! Paper contracts are available for pick up in the library.
Tickets for the Theatre Workshop’s spring musical “Newsies” are now on sale! The performances will be on April 4th to 6th.
The Class of 2025 is selling locally made, small batch Spring Candles. Scents include Lemon Lavender, Fresh Linen, and Strawberry Guava. Delivery will be in time for Mother’s Day. See any Class of 2025 Council member or Mrs. W in the Library to order.
