The baseball team beat Hamden 12 to 2 on Wednesday, while the girls softball team beat Shelton 20 to 11.
Seventy students were honored on Wednesday at the Rotary Club of West Haven’s annual Scholar-Athlete Recognition Ceremony. The students who were honored are all members of the junior class, have a 3.4 grade point average, and participate on a varsity team in one or more sports.
In addition to those scholar-athlete awards, softball player Olivia McDonnell was honored with the Robert “Bob” Greenwood “Service Above Self” Award. And boys lacrosse and hockey player Jason Alling received the Vincent “Vin” DiLauro “Passion” Award. Both awards are presented annually to a senior athlete at our school.
