The swim team broke, not one, but two school records on Feb. 26 in a meet at the SCC tournament.
Nathan Charron swam a 56.55 in the 100-yard backstroke, beating a record that had been in place for a decade.
Coach Kevin Dickson tells us that Nate “has the determination of a champion” and is the team’s role model and inspiration.
The second record of the night was broken by the 200-medley relay team, which swam their race in 1 minute, 47.63 seconds. That beats a previous record of 1 minute 47.68 seconds that had been held for 35 years.
That foursome was made up of Nathan Charron swimming the backstroke, Naomi Shubin swimming the breast stroke, Austin Carr swimming the butterfly and Ben Proano swimming the freestyle.
